Retail food service operator of company and franchised units (Denny’s, El Pollo Loco and Winchell's Donuts). Revenue of $1.2B.

Senior EDP Auditor

Performed IT general control and application audits.

·         Performed a fraud detection/prediction statistical analysis application that saved the company $1.2M annually in lost (or stolen) revenue. The application could be used to detect both fraud and excellent performance and was used to establish and implement best practices system-wide.

·         Presented to management an alternative to an IT Department proposed 401K accounting development which was implemented and saved the company $780K.

·         Reduced the external auditor's billings in excess of $150K annually, by improved audit preparation and in-house audit documents preparation.


THE VENDO COMPANY - Pinedale, California

Manufacturer/assembler of vending machines and IBM ATM safes.

Systems Programmer

Maintained, upgraded and reconfigured mainframe computer.

·         Eliminated production problems and developed better support solutions. Improved applications development and operations departments’ ability to self-recover from errors/problems; protected data, enforced compliance, data security and enabled additional growth in workload and processing.

·         Facilitated mainframe data center move and reconfiguration thereby avoiding several days of computer operation outage that would have cost $500K a day in lost orders and plant shutdowns.
